How it all started...
The story of Calimesa Worship Center began in the 1950's as a group of believers broke ground on what would become the home of First Baptist Church of Calimesa. Over the next several decades, FBCC would become a vibrant mission center in it's local community, empowering members to serve in the town where they were planted, and around the world through missions.
In the early 2000s, the congregation of FBCC, under then pastor Ted Fiddler, would branch off from the American Baptist Conference of the Pacific Southwest and join a network of churches called Transformation Ministries, and New Life Christian Fellowship became the new name of the church on 2nd Street.
Meanwhile in 2014, a new church would form just down the street as Foothill Bible Church was born. Over the years, as Foothill grew, their congregation would actively seek a permanent home in the city of Calimesa, with a heart toward serving the entire Yucaipa Valley.
At the same time a partnership between Centerpoint Church in Colton and New Life began to bring a revitalization of the ministry of the body in Calimesa. In 2019, New Life would renew it's commitment to reaching their community on their own.
Then as the Covid-19 pandemic raged on, FBC was seeking a more permanent place to call home. A partnership between FBC and New Life would begin just 2 weeks before the global shutdown.

Expanding the vision...
As the two churches worked together to thrive through the pandemic, it seemed clear that God was up to something bigger than both churches individually, and talks of partnership ramped up. And through strategic conversations and a TON of prayer, New Life and Foothill agreed to merge together to create Calimesa Worship Center. Empowered with resources and a bold, new vision to reach Calimesa for Christ, CWC is working to engage the lost in the community, reach the world and help to make the Name of Jesus great!
Where we are headed...
We believe that a commitment to serving our community is where the path leads. As we continue to strengthen missions posts around the world, and continue to develop a culture of discipleship in Calimesa and beyond, we are looking forward to seeing the great things that God will do as we serve as a church and partner with other churches and organizations in our valley....and around the world.
